South Point Village Phase 2 is coming together quickly — and if you haven’t driven by lately, the tenant list is longer than you might expect.
Brad put together a quick video walking through every confirmed business, organized by their location around the development. Here’s the full breakdown.
Every Confirmed Business in South Point Village Phase 2
Here’s who’s locked in, by location:
North Side
Carl’s Jr. — A drive-thru location. This is the kind of anchor tenant that draws traffic from across the southwest corridor, not just residents immediately nearby.
The Chai Hut — Authentic Indian chai and snacks. A genuinely different option from the standard coffee shop chains, and a welcome addition for the area’s growing South Asian community.
East Side (Along the Highway)
Cal City Pizza — A local pizza option with highway visibility.
Airdrie Meat Shop — Airdrie hasn’t had many butcher options, so this one will get attention from residents across the whole south end.
One more food spot — still TBA.
Further South
Blooming Minds Daycare — Childcare availability has been a pressure point in Airdrie’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods. Having it built directly into a commercial development is smart planning.
World Class Taekwondo — Another kids’ activity and fitness option for families in the area.
Sierra Smiles Dental — Convenient dental access for the south end, which has been underserved compared to the northeast.
West Side (Along Main Street)
Main Street Medical & Pharmacy — A walk-in clinic with an on-site pharmacy is a significant amenity win. For anyone in Southwinds or South Point who’s been driving north for medical care, this changes the picture.
South Point Barber Shop
Lovely Sweets & Restaurant — Another sit-down or takeout dining option to round out the food mix.
A vape shop.
A Few Units Are Still Available
One unit is specifically set up for a physician or chiropractor — which would be a strong fit given the lack of family doctors in this part of the city.
If you run a health practice or know someone looking for a commercial space in a fast-growing part of Airdrie, it’s worth knowing that unit exists.
What This Means If You’re Buying in Southwest Airdrie
Developments like South Point Village Phase 2 matter beyond just having a closer coffee option.
The southwest corridor — Southwinds, South Point, and the neighbourhoods still developing further south — has been one of the most active buying areas in Airdrie for several years. One of the consistent questions I get from buyers in that area is about services: “How far is the nearest grocery store? The nearest dentist? Is there anywhere to grab food?”
Phase 2 answers several of those questions at once. A medical clinic, a butcher, two restaurants, a drive-thru, childcare, and dental — that’s a meaningful amenity upgrade for anyone living or planning to buy in that part of the city.
Airdrie has been on a real roll lately with new businesses opening up. Fazoli’s Italian just opened at Kingsview Market, and Osmow’s Shawarma opened there too — the northwest is getting attention, and now the southwest is catching up.
The 24th Street SW extension to 40th Avenue is also underway, which will tie the whole southwest corridor together and make the commute south easier. All of this is adding up to a neighbourhood that’s getting more convenient by the quarter.
If you want to understand what the market actually looks like right now — pricing, inventory, days on market — the May 2026 market update breaks it down in plain terms.
When Is Everything Opening?
Phase 2 is actively under construction as of May 2026. Occupancy is expected throughout the rest of the year, but individual opening dates haven’t been publicly confirmed for most tenants.
I’ll keep posting updates as businesses open — follow along on YouTube or Instagram if you want to stay current on what’s happening around Airdrie.
