Is there an Osmow’s Shawarma in Airdrie?
Osmow’s Shawarma has officially opened in Airdrie at the Kingsview Market, right next to the Save-On-Foods in southwest Airdrie. The chain operates over 200 locations across Canada, and Airdrie now has one of its own.

If you’ve been watching the Kingsview Market area fill in over the past couple of years, here’s the newest addition worth checking out — Osmow’s Shawarma is open.
I spotted it recently and wanted to get the word out. A lot of people in the area have been asking what’s going in near that Save-On-Foods anchor. Watch the short clip here:
What Is Osmow’s Shawarma?
Osmow’s is a Canadian fast-casual chain that specializes in shawarma — think wraps, bowls, and platters built around seasoned rotisserie-style meat, fresh toppings, and sauces. The food is quick, flavourful, and the portions are generous.
The chain started in Ontario and has expanded steadily across the country. 200+ locations is a serious footprint for a Canadian food brand, and it says something that they’ve now made their way into Airdrie’s growing southwest commercial corridor.
If you’ve had Osmow’s at another location before, you know what to expect. If this would be your first time, it’s worth a try — especially if you’re already in the area heading to Save-On-Foods or any of the other shops at Kingsview Market.
Where Exactly Is It in Airdrie?
The Airdrie location is in the Kingsview Market shopping centre in southwest Airdrie, off Kingsview Boulevard. That’s the development anchored by Save-On-Foods.
If you live in any of the southwest communities — Kingsview, Kings Heights, Chinook Gate, South Windsong, or nearby — this is a convenient new option that doesn’t require a trip to the northeast end of the city or down to CrossIron.

What This Means for Southwest Airdrie
Here’s the part that matters from a real estate perspective, whether you live here or you’re considering buying in the southwest:
Kingsview Market has been steadily filling out its tenant mix. When a well-known national brand like Osmow’s chooses to open here, it’s a signal that the commercial foot traffic and residential density in the area are strong enough to support it.
More amenities close to home — restaurants, grocery, services — is exactly what buyers in southwest Airdrie are looking for. And when communities check that box, they hold their value well and attract serious buyers.
Southwest Airdrie is already seeing a lot of commercial development. If you haven’t seen the breakdown of the Vantage Commons shopping centre planned at 24th Street and Vantage Way — that’s another big commercial story shaping the future of this part of the city.
Other Things Happening in Airdrie Right Now
A lot is moving in Airdrie this spring. A few things worth knowing about:
The Main Street Rehabilitation Project is back underway for 2026 — work on the northbound lanes starts early May. Expect some disruption if you’re heading through downtown Airdrie.
The Canada Day Parade route has changed for 2026 because of the Main Street construction — worth checking the updated route before July 1st.
