Their grand opening is today, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The first 50 guests get prizes, and the first three guests win free pizza for a month — for an entire year. Two-for-one pizzas are available for all customers until mid-August.

Airdrie's south end keeps getting more to offer — and this one's worth going early for.
Fresh Slice Pizza has officially opened in South Point Village, and if you're thinking about checking it out, today is the day. Their grand opening starts at 11:00 a.m., and the incentives for getting there early are genuinely good.
Here's the deal: the first 50 guests get prizes. And if you're one of the first three through the door, you win free pizza for a month — for an entire year. That's a real incentive to set an alarm. For everyone else, two-for-one pizzas are running until mid-August, so there's no rush if today doesn't work.

South Point Village is a commercial centre in southwest Airdrie, right off Highway 2 near the south edge of the city. It's one of the newer commercial hubs in Airdrie, and it's been filling in steadily as the surrounding residential communities have grown over the past few years.
If you're not familiar with the area, it's the kind of mixed-use commercial strip that south Airdrie residents rely on for everyday conveniences — retail, food, services — without having to drive north or head into Calgary. Fresh Slice is a Canadian pizza chain, so if you've tried it in Calgary or elsewhere in Alberta, you already know what the product is like. For Airdrie, the value is just having it here locally.
The south end of the city has been growing faster than anywhere else in Airdrie right now. New communities like South Point and Lanark have been bringing thousands of new residents to this part of the city, which drives demand for exactly this kind of retail and dining.
More New Food and Business Openings in Airdrie
Fresh Slice isn't the only addition to Airdrie's food and business scene lately.
Sorso Lounge's drive-thru is making a comeback after being closed for five or six years — good news for anyone who's been defaulting to Tim Hortons out of habit. A local coffee option that isn't one of the national chains is the kind of thing residents actually notice and use. And over in the southeast, Pathway Burgers & Momos — a Nepalese restaurant with two Calgary locations — is opening in Kings View Market. Momos, chowmein, and burgers — not something you see often in Airdrie, and it fills a real gap.
Between Fresh Slice, Sorso, and Pathway, it's been a strong run for new options in the city.
