Located in SW Airdrie, on the corner of Yankee Valley Boulevard and 24th Street, the new neighbourhood of Vantage Rise is being developed by Qualico Communities, who just finished up building in Ravenswood.
This whole west side of the city features these rolling hills out to the farm fields, where the land rises quite steeply from east to west, giving chances to back onto a view. The hills aren't as big as in areas like Wildflower or Key Ranch to the north, but with the flowing terrain here, we'll still likely see quite a few walk out basement options here as well.
A lot of these new communities are trying to incorporate a good amount of outdoor amenities and activities to attract families to the area, and Vantage Rise is no different. There’s planned to be lots of open spaces such as a recreational pathways surrounding an 8 acre storm pond, a commercial park, and a central park area. 15 acres will be dedicated to a green space known as Vantage Green, and will feature a playground, sports courts, and a picnic area.

The Vantage Commons commercial area will act as a focal point for the neighborhood. This is going to be a 12.25 acre site, including a pedestrian-oriented main street, public plaza, adventure play area, and seating. It will have a mix of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and office space.
Construction is planned to happen across 2 sections of land, totaling 360 acres that house close to 7,000 residents when complete. The first section will be 160 acres of land and will have about 3,000 residents living in 1,200 homes.
We don’t have specific details yet or builders named, but they plan to offer a variety of housing types, including front garage, lane homes, townhomes, and mid-rise multi-family condos. The average anticipated density is between 8.2 and 9.9 housing units per acre and the full build out is estimated to be in the next 8-10 years.
There is also a 9 acre elementary school planned in the future for the area as well!
