Minto Communities just launched a new phase in Wildflower, Airdrie — including some of the most sought-after lots in the community. The new release includes ridge lots with sweeping views of the city, plus lots backing onto green spaces. Minto is also offering free basement development or a $45,000 design center credit on current homes.

Well, if you've been keeping an eye on Wildflower — Airdrie's master-planned community on the west side of the city — this is worth your attention. Minto Communities just launched a new phase, and they've released some of the best lots in the entire development.

What's Available: Ridge Lots and Green Space Backing

The new phase includes two types of premium lots:

Ridge lots — These sit at one of the highest elevations in Airdrie, giving you views across the city. If you've driven through Wildflower and looked east toward the skyline, you know exactly the view these lots are working with.

Green space backing lots — Other new lots back onto natural green space, giving you added privacy and a natural buffer behind your home. In a newer community, that's not easy to come by.

Current Incentives from Minto

Here's what makes this even more interesting: Minto is offering two strong incentives right now on new homes in Wildflower.

Option 1: Free basement development. If you want a finished basement without the hassle of doing it later, this is significant. Basement development typically runs $30,000–$50,000+ depending on finishes — getting that thrown in is real value.

Option 2: $45,000 design center credit. If you'd rather put the money into the main living areas — upgraded kitchen, flooring, fixtures, bathrooms — a $45K credit at the design center goes a long way.

Mix either of those with a ridge lot, and you're looking at a home with great views, quality finishes, and value built in from the start.

Wildflower Amenities Are Coming in 2027

One thing that often surprises people about Wildflower: it's a master-planned community with private amenities for residents. Construction on the amenities area is already underway, and the plan includes a pool, hot tub, sports court, and a wellness studio — all expected to open in 2027.

If you're buying in Wildflower now, you'll be moving in around the same time the amenities come online. That's not a bad situation to be in.
