Every December 31st, the City of Airdrie hosts its annual New Year's Eve fireworks display at the athletic park located behind Genesis Place Rec Centre. It's one of the most popular community events of the year — drawing over 4,000 people — and it's a great option for families who want to ring in the New Year without a late night out.
When Do the Fireworks Start?
The fireworks display kicks off at 6:30 PM on December 31st and runs for approximately 15 minutes. The early start time is intentional — it's designed to accommodate families with young children who can't stay out until midnight. Parking and Getting There
Parking is available at Genesis Place, but it fills up quickly given the crowd size. Overflow parking is available at Rob Ebbesen Arena.
