Yes — the Airdrie Children’s Business Fair is back for its fourth year on Sunday, August 16th, 2026, from 1–4 PM at the Town & Country Centre in Airdrie. This year, 36 kid-run businesses are participating, with products and services ranging from bracelets and crafts to 3D prints, baked goods, snacks, and drinks. Entry is free — bring some cash to support Airdrie’s youngest entrepreneurs.

If you’re looking for something to do in Airdrie this weekend, this one’s worth putting on your calendar.
The Airdrie Children’s Business Fair is back this Sunday — and it’s bigger than ever. Thirty-six kid-run businesses will be set up and open for customers from 1 to 4 PM at the Town & Country Centre. Whether you’ve been before or this is your first time hearing about it, here’s what you need to know.
What Is the Airdrie Children’s Business Fair?
The Children’s Business Fair is exactly what it sounds like: a marketplace run entirely by kids.
Every business you’ll find at this event was created by a child — from the initial idea, all the way through to product development, branding, and pricing. On the day of the fair, the kids are running their own booths, talking to real customers, and making their own sales. No parents behind the table doing it for them. It’s the real thing.
This is the fourth year the event has been held here in Airdrie — which tells you it’s found a real home in this community. Events like this don’t keep coming back unless people show up and support them, and Airdrie has done exactly that.
What to Expect This Sunday
This year’s lineup has a solid mix of businesses across a lot of different categories. You’ll find things like bracelets and accessories, handmade crafts, 3D prints, baked goods, snacks, and drinks — plus whatever else these kids came up with on their own.
That’s the part that makes this event worth attending. These aren’t cookie-cutter lemonade stands. These are kids who sat down, figured out what they could make or offer, worked out how to price it, and created something original. Some of them have been working on this for weeks.

One of the things I genuinely appreciate about living and working in Airdrie is how much the community actually shows up for things like this.
It’s not just talk. When something new opens or something good is happening in town — whether that’s new amenities coming to local parks, new businesses planting roots here, or events like this one — Airdrie residents tend to get behind it. That community energy is one of the things I always mention when people ask me about the real pros of living in Airdrie.
This event is a good example of what makes this city different from a lot of the surrounding communities. Thirty-six kids showed up with their own business ideas. That’s not nothing. Getting a big turnout on Sunday is the least we can do.
